Who worked on it?
The ECOCERT certification of our products would not have been possible without the strong involvement of our teams. Indeed, Célie Mantaut, range manager, and Clara Feracci, QSE technician and CSR manager, have rigorously steered this ambitious project.
What's more, their work involved coordination between different departments, notably the purchasing and production departments, which played a role in meeting the strict requirements of the certification.
From the selection of raw materials to the optimization of processes, their collaboration has ensured that our ECOCERT products meet the highest standards, while affirming our commitment to responsible, sustainable practices.
The different stages of certification
A. Commitment to the organization
The process begins by signing a contract with ECOCERT. This commitment formalizes our willingness to submit our products and practices to their strict and transparent controls.
B. Documentary validation
A detailed analysis is carried out on :
- Ingredients: each one must meet the standards defined in the ECOCERT standards.
- Formulas: designed to guarantee conformity.
- Labels and packaging items: they must be adapted and comply with ECODETERGENT label criteria.
This work involves close collaboration between the purchasing, production and quality departments to ensure that every component meets the requirements.
C. On-site audit
ECOCERT carries out a detailed audit of our facilities, processes and practices. The aim of this audit is to verify that everything, from raw materials to final packaging, complies with environmental and ethical criteria.
D. File review and certification decision
After the audit, ECOCERT carries out a complete review of our file. This includes an analysis of the audit results and all the documentation provided. If everything is in order, certification is granted.
E. Continuous monitoring
ECOCERT certification is not definitive: it requires regular follow-up. This includes :
- Periodic audits to ensure standards are maintained.
- Constant updating of documents and practices in line with changes in the standards.
How long does it take?
Certification takes a minimum of six months. This period is crucial for :
- Collecting and validating the necessary documentation: teams work to provide proof of compliance for ingredients, formulas, labels, packaging items and processes. Each item must comply with the ECODETERGENT standard.
- Preparing for the initial audit: a key moment when all our practices and facilities are thoroughly reviewed.
Following this, an annual audit is carried out to maintain certification.
ECOCERT certification doesn't stop once you've obtained it. Each year, a new audit is carried out to ensure that we continue to meet the standards. This follow-up requires :
- Constantly updated files.
- Continuous adaptation of our practices in line with any changes in the standards.
